DAY 4 and DAY 5 - The Rogue River, Oregon |
| Monday morning it was time to
hit the road again. Our first stop was across the highway from Harris State
Beach (it was a big leg of our journey, about 2 minutes!) We stopped in at the information center for the Gold Beach area. The volunteer there was very helpful. He was full of ideas about what we should see as we drive up the coast. He even gave us a paper with the attractions and the mile post marker numbers. Two places he said we HAD to go to: the Bandon Cheese Factory for ice cream, and Sunset Bay State Beach near Coos Bay. Before leaving, we made a reservation to stay Wednesday night at Sunset Bay State Beach. Then we were on our way to our Rogue River adventure! |

| Before making it to
our "home" for the next two nights, we stopped at the Rogue River
Museum. It is operated by Jerry's Rogue River Jetboats, a trip we planned on taking the next day. The musuem was pretty interesting, and showed the history of the Rogue River and current stats. |

From the museum, it was a very short drive to The 4 Seasons RV
Park, located on the Rogue River.![]() |
|||||
We chose this RV Park for a couple of reasons. First of all, our
site was right on the river.![]() |
The second reason, is that the boat would come to the dock at the
RV park to pick us up. Our boat ride would be on Tuesday. We watched several
boats go out on Monday. |

We had plenty of time on Monday to do whatever we felt like. So, we took off for a while in the jeep to do some exploring. ![]() We found a road along the river that had such pretty scenery, it caused Jerry to cut loose and dance! |
![]() The scenery did make for a very nice drive. |
